A cherished supporter
Valerie “Ann” Luciani
Thank you for visiting this page dedicated to the memory of Ann, who sadly passed away on 11th May 2026. Ann was a passionate supporter of Hope for Children (now Chance for Childhood) and we are so grateful for all the support she and her family have continued to provide over the years.
If you wish to make a donation in her memory, no matter how big or small, it will make a huge difference to children living in vulnerable situations.
Your gift will help to provide education, health and opportunity to thousands of children across Africa.

About Chance for Childhood
Chance for Childhood works across East and West Africa to ensure childhoods are filled with safety, belonging and play. In the past three years, we have supported over 186,000 children in vulnerable situations to access inclusive education and safer spaces.
Children like four-year-old Sanyu from the the Kyaka II refugee settlement in Uganda, who was born with physical disabilities. His mother thought he would never be able to go to school due to them, but with our support, she enrolled him in a local school and received special orthotic shoes for Sanyu to wear – and he now walks to school hand in hand with his friends each day.
